Writing
I've always had a soft spot for reading and writing; when I was younger, I would take refuge in fictional worlds and pretend to go on fantastical adventures with my favorite characters. In real life, I found myself drawn to aspiring artists and novice writers. As I got older, I learned that I could use everything I'd read over the years to create my own stories with nothing but a pen and a piece of paper.
Psst~ you! Yeah, you! Click the titles to read the stories! Enjoy!

VIOLETS is a short, one act play I wrote in my freshman year of highschool. It follows a group of three friends in Paris in the 1920s as they attempt to connect with an ex-lover from beyond the grave

SUN AND MOON is a short story I wrote for English class in my sophomore year, based on the photo 'Paris' (Couple in a Bumper Car), by Robert Frank from 1951. It follows a teenage boy in Brooklyn in the 1950s as he develops an unlikely friendship with an elderly neighbor.

SIXTEEN SUNSETS was created for an assignment about writing one story from dual perspectives. It revolves (no pun intended) around a girl trapped on a spaceship and her father, the astronaut whose actions led her there in the first place. One of my favorite parts of this assignment was weaving in parallels between both perspectives, to demonstrate that they are connected regardless of physical location.
